·         Evaluate

o   This article is very credible because it can be found in professional databases, has associations with medical departments, and is listed as a scholarly journal. The author also gave both perspectives on if the weight of models is truly to blame for eating disorders. They also gave facts on the Canadian BMI, deaths of being too thin, and websites like “pro-ana,” where girls can find starving techniques. By having other credited sources, this author assures the reader that this article is credible as well.

 

·         Compare:

o    This article is more in depth than the previous article and gives more credible sources to back up the information given. The information in this article also was more factual rather than opinion based so it would also be better to use in a research paper. This author was more of an expert on the topic which is apparent by how much research they did themselves on the topic as compared to the previous author. Overall this article is more credible and better presented because they gave quite a bit more information to back up what they were saying, as well as was more convincing than the previous author about their opinion on the topic.
